ERS can work from available locomotive inventory or help identify equipment through established industry sources when a specific model or configuration is required. Each requirement begins with the customer’s operating needs — including locomotive model, quantity, application, destination, timeline and any preparation or rebuild requirements — allowing ERS to identify suitable options and coordinate the next steps efficiently.
Current unit focus includes SD40, SD60, SD70MAC, Dash 8, Dash 9 and B40 locomotives. Availability varies by project and market conditions, so customers can contact ERS with the exact equipment, specifications and destination required.

When a required locomotive is not immediately available, ERS can review the requirement through its rail-industry network and identify potential sourcing options based on the model, application, quantity and destination.
Once equipment is identified, ERS can also coordinate related rebuild and overhaul requirements and worldwide rail logistics when those services are required as part of the project.
